The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is currently seeking candidates for a Public Safety and Operations Director. This Director will ensure that the Airport is operated in compliance with
Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139, Transportation Security Regulation Part 1542 and all other federal, state and local regulations governing airport operations. Additional responsibilities include providing direct supervision for subordinate staff, and evaluating safety and security technology, systems and equipment; maintaining and updating the airport certification manual, emergency plan, security program and other critical documents. The Gerald R. Ford International Airport is currently seeking candidates for an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter Captain.
Responsibilities include: Acting as incident commander, participating and supervising the crew in response to aircraft incidents, medical emergencies and fires occurring on airport property, inspection of all firefighting facilities and equipment, initiating corrective action when necessary as well as scheduling routine preventative maintenance.
